Modesta products create a hard, glass-like layer on the clear coat of your automobile. This thick layer is composed of high grade silicium, produced by a special chemical reaction at the time of application. While a Ceramic Coating does reduce light swirl-marks due to its slickness and hardness, it's properties are often exaggerated by detailers in DFW. Certainly, an Automotive Ceramic Coating can ward off some very fine scratches, a coated car will not resist damages from rock chips, or minor parking lot scratches and accidents - for this we’d recommend paint protection film.
Likewise, the swirl marks on your car which are created by automated touch car washes or improper care will still build up over time, just slower. A Ceramic Car Coating is not a substitute for a proper or serious scratch or chip protection (for example, Clear Bra, also known as Paint Protection Film).
